Harvard university Peabody Children’s Center

The Harvard University Children’s Center is undergoing a modernization of its facility to improve the quality for the children, support family needs, and represent its commitment to the community.

The renovation project involves two wings which date back to 1964 and 1989 and are in need of signficant upgrades. The MEP upgrades and programming consist of three indoor HVAC units delivering conditioned air to overhead terminal units for zones which will include demand control ventilation sensors in the spaces.  Hot and chilled water utilities were available for the central AHU units and electric heaters were used for reheating.

The TERVA Engineering Team is performing commissioning services for this project to accomplish the goal of meeting 21st century standards. TERVA has been contracted to assist the Harvard team in the first year of operation to efficiently transfer operational control of the building to the facilities staff.
