Electron Microscope
HARVARD UNIVERSITY ELECTRON MICROSCOPE PROJECT | ELECTRICAL INFRASTRUCTURE DESIGN
Harvard University’s microscope project began with the acquisition of the state-of-the-art, multimillion-dollar Zeiss Electron Microscope—an instrument that required significant space and a specialized infrastructure.
TERVA Engineering teamed with TERVA Design on this project and concluded the best way to accommodate the new Electron Microscope was to reconfigure an existing space and relocate several smaller microscopes providing a dedicated space for the new Microscope. Together, TEC and TDS designed and developed the supporting systems for the relocation space including lighting, power, and fire alarm integration.
As part of the overall effort, TEC’s senior electrical engineer collaborated with Harvard to develop the complex power infrastructure essential for the new Electron Microscope’s advanced capabilities.
