An operating room is one of the most important areas in a hospital. Patients who enter an operating room put their lives in the hands of a well-trained team who needs the room to be a sophisticated environment, organized and efficiently designed with proper tools, lighting, and electrical. Tufts engaged the TERVA Design Solutions Team to assist with the renovation design and coordination of improvements for several operating rooms at its Medical Center.
Staying ahead of the curve
Understanding and visualizing the goal, the TERVA Design Solutions Team went to work on the design renovation of the operating rooms which also included enhancing the rooms by replacing surgical lighting and installing new headwalls, medical gas outlets, and floor, wall, and ceiling finishes. The successful outcome accomplished the goal of renewing the operating rooms and keeping Tufts Medical Center at the forefront with the ever-changing landscape of the medical industry.
