TERVA is proud to serve as Owner’s Project Manager for the renovation of Leicester High School, supporting Leicester Public Schools and the Town of Leicester throughout this transformative initiative. In 2021, the Town strategically acquired the former Becker College Leicester campus to establish a new home for grades 9–12. With academic and vocational programs now transitioned to the campus, the TERVA team is working collaboratively with the Massachusetts School Building Authority (MSBA) and the Town to renovate and modernize multiple buildings to align with the district’s evolving educational needs.
This project represents more than a traditional renovation—it is a reimagining of educational delivery. The vision is to integrate rigorous academic instruction with comprehensive Career and Technical Education (CTE) programs within a unified campus environment. The project includes the development of specialized program spaces, such as shops and laboratories, designed to support hands-on, experiential learning. These environments require enhanced infrastructure, including advanced mechanical, electrical, and safety systems, to meet the demands of modern vocational education.
Planned CTE program offerings include Veterinary Science/Animal Science, Early Education and Teaching, Culinary Arts, Health Assisting, Electrical, and pathways in Engineering and Business/Finance. To support these programs, the project includes significant upgrades to building systems and facilities, including new and improved spaces for HVAC, plumbing, and specialized program areas. Additional improvements will address electrical capacity, code compliance, and accessibility, ensuring the campus provides a safe, efficient, and future-ready learning environment.
