New Science Center
Creating a welcome environment campus-wide is one of Wesleyan University’s goals as upgrades and renovations across the campus progress. The new 185,000 square foot flagship science building will provide a friendly and inviting hub for the entire campus with common space for students, a courtyard and café, and an open area in the center of the building.
The future of research and teaching in a sustainable environment
The new science building will highlight research and teaching programs with an open and transparent design and will include many environmentally friendly features. With progressive goals on energy efficiency and sustainability, the TERVA Engineering Team will perform commissioning services for the new building which will aim to achieve LEED v4 Fundamental and Enhanced Commissioning, Monitoring Based Commissioning and is projected to receive LEED Gold Certification.
With a projected cost of $255M, the new science building is expected to be completed and in use by 2026 achieving the goal of a welcoming, sustainable space and innovation hub for years to come.
