To stay ahead of the curve, Beth Israel Lahey Health / Lahey Hospital & Medical Center planned for upgrade of equipment and refresh of Cystoscopy Operating Room 2.

Planning For the future

Lahey Hospital and Medical Center is replacing the existing cystoscopy equipment with a new Siemens Uroskop machine because the existing equipment has reached the end of its useful life. The replacement of the equipment allowed for a cosmetic refresh for Cystoscopy Operating Room 2.

With the new Siemens equipment requiring a power upgrade and the addition of a new computer system outside of Operating Room 2 to serve the equipment, the heat gains in the space needed to be reviewed and mitigated. Our Team studied the electrical infrastructure, tie-in location for electrical power, and design approach with the Lahey Facilities Team to confirm the facility standards were being met. The result, an updated operating room with appropriate electrical and design elements to meet the current and growing needs of the hospital.
