Jefferson Laboratory
The important Harvard University Jefferson Laboratory, completed in 1884, was the first university building in America dedicated to physics research. It continues to serve as an academic classroom, laboratory, and office space for Harvard’s Physics Department. In 1931, the Laboratory was renovated expanding the basement level machine shops and the addition of a fire stair.
Planning for the Future
To maintain the Harvard laboratories and support spaces, the third-floor office was in need of renovation. The TERVA Team was brought in to provide commissioning services during the construction, acceptance, and turnover phases. The scope of work included the commissioning of fan coil units, condensation pumps, exhaust fans, lighting, HVAC, and controls for the successful completion of the project.
